The Club
The Meade Rod & Gun Club is a private, not-for-profit organization operating as a recreational club under Sec. 501 (c) (7) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. The club has been in existence under its current organization since 1992 and in various forms since the early 1970s. The Club has a proud history of teaching marksmanship and shooting competitively. The Club is a National Rifle Association (NRA) Affiliated club and a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) affiliated club. CMP Club No. 71115.
Meetings, Location & Directions
Our normal first Thursday of each month meeting place, the Outdoor Adventure Center, is under renovation, so we will be meeting at Perry’s Restaurant in Odenton. This is just up from the Odenton Shopping Center on the North side on 175. The address is:

We will be meeting in the banquet hall in back of the building at our normal time, 1900 hours, but as an added benefit, it you want to come early, you can join us for dinner at 1800 hours. Until our status changes and the building situation is resolved, this will be our meeting place going forward. We would be glad to have you and your family join us. The Club meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Outdoor Adventure Center (Bldg. T4) at Ft. Meade, MD. which is located between Baltimore and Annapolis MD. From Hwy 295, take Rt. 175 east toward Ft. Meade. Turn right into the main gate at Ft. Meade on Reece Rd (or the Mapes Rd entrance if you have a DoD decal). [You will need a drivers license, proof of insurance, and car registration with you to enter. Your vehicle is subject to inspection, and no firearms, ammunition, etc. are allowed.] Take the first left turn (or left at the first light if entering at Mapes Rd.) onto Ernie Pyle St. You will go through five STOP signs (three if entering from Mapes) and over a bridge across Rt. 32. Turn right at the "T". The Outdoor Adventure Center is the dark brown building on the right, just before the firing ranges. The 2 Pet Care Center buildings are adjacent to the Rod & Gun Club.
Activities
The Meade Rod & Gun Club conducts NRA firearm training courses, Civilian Marksmanship Program Marksmanship Clinics,
Fishing Rodeos and a variety of other related activities. Please see the Activities page for event schedules and the latest activities.
Membership
The Meade Rod & Gun Club currently has approximately 150 members. Membership dues for the Club are 25.00 dollars for the first year and 15.00 dollars per year for renewal for individuals. The Club also offers Family Memberships for 30.00 dollars per year for new members and 25.00 dollars per year for renewal membership. Junior memberships available for 1.00 dollar. The year runs July through June. New club members are required to be members of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and are required to maintain their NRA memberships.
